Update: Thank you all for the support! I just enrolled BBE into KU so I had to take Taisy Tales off this update and kill the free book link. I hope those that downloaded their advanced reader copy enjoy! Cheers ~ W.A.

First, I wanted to thank all of you for giving me a community and helping me rediscover the joy of writing again.
While I’ve always been an ardent reader and writer, the thought of writing fiction felt too impossible. So, I studied screenwriting and TV writing in college and pursued a career in television, navigating that path with success. However, after over a decade of working in Hollyweird, the magic of storytelling started slipping through my fingers. I lost the sheer joy of writing just for the fun of it.
Then, three years ago, I stumbled upon r/WritingPrompts— and this subreddit reignited camaraderie and imagination in my writing life.
Here, I found a community of writers and readers who were collaborative, supportive, and inspiring. Where the main focus was the story and entertaining each other with our imaginations.
Browsing the prompts posted with my morning cup of coffee became the highlight of my day. Searching for the idea I wanted to scribble to before clocking into the tv day job, where stories were just fodder for the commercials, or subject to the whims of the network, got me out of bed earlier and earlier. Because, wow, all the “what ifs” you prompters came up with unlocked something within me and I started having fun writing again.
But what touched me most was witnessing everyone here—individuals I may never meet in person—engaging not only with stories that resonated, but with each other. The way we courageously share parts of our lives in the comments, offering encouragement not only to the characters in these tales but to one another, showcased the immense power of fiction within a supportive community.
I’m currently wrapping up a full-length novel, “Ever Always: A Ducklenburge Royal Romance,” for my wonderful subreddit community, alongside developing another series. But amidst the trend of reddit stories getting ripped and posted on TikTok, I wanted to compile and release my anthology to ensure that prompters receive credit for their remarkable “what ifs” and to thank users by name in the acknowledgments for engaging with and reading my stories.
“Big Book Energy” stands as my tribute to all of you. It’s a nod to the hardworking moderators who nurture and facilitate storytelling here, to the brave prompters who share their ideas, and to the readers who take time out of their day to immerse themselves in the worlds we create. It’s also, for those, like me, who at times feel lost, alone, or voiceless.
Here in r/WritingPrompts we’re not alone. We have each other and our stories.
To all fellow readers and writers, thank you! I hope you’ll download your complimentary copy of “Big Book Energy” and enjoy revisiting these stories all in one place!
Cheers!
W.A.
